Privacy Policy

Aktify is designed with privacy at its core. We collect minimal information to provide and improve our service:

Account Information — When you use Aktify, your Apple ID is used for authentication and iCloud sync. We do not create separate accounts or collect personal information beyond what Apple provides.

Your Content — Your tasks, focus sessions, settings, tags, and other data you create in Aktify are stored in your personal iCloud account via Apple's CloudKit. Mysticbits Oü never has access to this data.

Crash & Error Reports — We use Sentry, a third-party error tracking service, to collect crash reports, error logs, and diagnostic information when something goes wrong. These reports may include app state information (such as which screen was active) to help us fix issues. Reports are transmitted over HTTPS to Sentry's servers.

Feature Usage Analytics — We use Statsig, a third-party analytics and feature flagging service, to understand which features are used and to manage feature rollouts. Events such as starting a focus session or toggling a feature setting may be recorded. This data helps us prioritize improvements.

Apple Reminders Data — If you choose to import reminders, Aktify accesses your Apple Reminders via the EventKit framework. We read reminder titles, completion status, and calendar information from your iCloud Reminders. Completion status can be synced back to the original reminder. This data stays on-device and in your iCloud account — it is not transmitted to our servers or any third party.

The limited information we access is used solely to:

• Provide and maintain the Aktify service across your devices

• Sync your task data securely via Apple's CloudKit infrastructure

• Diagnose and fix crashes and errors via Sentry error reports

• Understand feature usage patterns via Statsig to improve the app

• Deliver push notifications for task reminders via Apple Push Notification service and Firebase Cloud Messaging

• Respond to your support requests when you contact us directly

We will never sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.

Your Aktify content (tasks, sessions, settings) is stored in two places — both under your control:

On-Device — App data is stored locally on your iPhone, iPad, or Apple Vision Pro using standard iOS/visionOS data protection, including hardware encryption. Some data fields use additional encrypted storage.

iCloud (CloudKit) — Your data syncs across devices using Apple's CloudKit, which means it lives in your personal iCloud account. It's encrypted in transit and at rest by Apple. Mysticbits Oü cannot read, access, or decrypt your content.

Separately, diagnostic and analytics data (crash reports, feature usage events) is transmitted over HTTPS to third-party service providers (Sentry, Statsig) as described in the Third-Party Services section below. This data does not include the content of your tasks or personal information.

Aktify integrates the following third-party services:

Apple App Store — Aktify is distributed through the Apple App Store. Apple may collect information as described in Apple's privacy policy when you download or purchase the app.

Apple CloudKit — Used for syncing your tasks and content between your devices. Your data lives in your personal iCloud account and is subject to Apple's privacy policy and iCloud terms of service.

Sentry — Used for crash reporting and error tracking. Sentry receives error logs and diagnostic data to help us identify and fix bugs. Sentry's privacy policy is available at sentry.io/privacy.

Statsig — Used for feature flagging and usage analytics. Statsig receives feature usage events to help us understand how the app is used and manage feature rollouts. Statsig's privacy policy is available at statsig.com/privacy.

Firebase Cloud Messaging — Used to deliver push notifications for task reminders. Firebase receives device tokens necessary for notification delivery. Firebase Analytics is not enabled.

We do not integrate any third-party advertising SDKs. Aktify does not display ads.

Aktify is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us through a support channel, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Because your task data is stored in your own iCloud account, you have full control at all times:

• Access — Your data is always accessible in the Aktify app on any of your devices

• Deletion — Remove the app and clear Aktify's iCloud storage in your device Settings to delete all task data. Diagnostic data retained by third-party services (Sentry, Statsig) is subject to their respective retention policies.

• Portability — Your data is stored in your iCloud account and accessible through your Apple devices

• Correction — You can edit or update your data directly within the app at any time

For EU residents, these rights align with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). For California residents, these rights align with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). To exercise additional rights under these regulations, please contact us using the information below.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. For significant changes, we may also notify you through the app or via our website.

We encourage you to review this policy periodically to stay informed about how we protect your privacy.
